Our History

Salsbury Industries was founded in 1936 by Foster Salsbury to manufacture one of the first motor scooters in the United States. Since then, Salsbury Industries has excelled in manufacturing products that meet rigorous standards for a variety of applications. Our company has developed a robust product line of lockers and manufactures and distributes products for schools, restaurants, day care facilities, pool areas, gyms, country clubs, day spas, hospitals, police and fire departments, apartments and many other installations.

As a manufacturer of Division 10 products, Salsbury Industries also manufactures and distributes a complete line of commercial and residential mailboxes. Salsbury Industries is officially licensed by the USPS to manufacture Cluster Box Units (CBU’s) and has been awarded contracts to manufacture and supply products for the U.S. Postal Service, commercial builders, residential home builders and developers across the country. Salsbury Industries manufacturing facilities are ISO 9001:2015 certified.  ISO 9001:2015 is an internationally recognized Quality Management System that requires a company to identify, define, document, implement, monitor and measure, and continually improve the effectiveness of its processes for the purposes of enhancing Customer Satisfaction. Companies must undergo third-party audits by accredited certification boards in order to become ISO 9001:2015 certified.
